Career To Date

Philippe started his racing career in karts in 1981, age 14, and continued in karts until progressing to the European Opel Lotus Championship in 1988. He then competed in the British Formula Three Championship for two seasons, finishing in sixth place in the series on both occasions.

In 1991 Philippe moved to Japan to take part in the Japanese Formula Three Championship, finishing 12th overall. He also made guest appearances in the Japanese Formula 3000 and Touring Car Championships.

Philippe moved back to England to contest the 1992 British Formula Three Championship, finishing second in the series, and the 1993 British Formula Two Championship, which he won dominantly.

Philippe currently leads the Belgian Touring Car Championship having won 5 of the 9 races to date, with 5 rounds remaining.
